iCloud (only appears if the general iCloud settings are valid):
You can synchronize your app with other Mac or iPad devices. You can visualize the current iCloud configuration by selecting one of the files. You can enable the full automatic synchronization by, either importing the current cloud configuration to your device, or exporting your device configuration to the cloud. Uncheck the iCloud synchronization checkbox to stop synchronizing. In this mode, all synchronized devices will automatically always have the same data, i.e. if you add/remove a stock or anything else on one device, that stock will automatically be added/removed on all others. Same with lines, comments, trades… everything.
Alternatively, you can use the manual synchronization. Why use a manual synchro rather than the full automatic one? In general it’s because you might have a huge number of stocks on the Mac but only want a subset of those on your iPhone or iPad. Thousands of stocks on an iPhone, while possible, is impractical and might also degrade performances.
When you check the “Manual Synchro Enabled”, you register your mac as a source of data for other devices on the same iCloud account. It does not affect performance but create a 1 to 2M bytes in the cloud to store the data. On the other end, working on another device, pressing “Manual Sync From iCloud”, your Mac will now appear in the menu as a source. When selected, from your iPad as an example, the program will only look at common stocks and, for those stocks, will transfer Lines, Comments, Fibos, Journal Notes and Investments. The advantage is that it only takes a few seconds to synchronize. Note this manual synchro also synchronizes custom indicators scripts. If you modify a script on the Mac, you can then align that script on your iPhone, iPad or another Mac. Finally, you can also Backup and Restore from iCloud. An alternate way to manually synchronize devices if you’re only interested in synchronizing every once in a while, rather than real time.
In order to setup iCloud, open the general settings, press the iCloud button and set your account:
Once set, open Mastock. You should see the window title change.
Also, in the general settings for iCloud, pressing “Manage” should bring the following screen:
